Hagan

Hagan

Hagan, our mini burro, came to us from The Opera House, Death Valley Junction in 2002. Her feet were 10 inches long and she had hair that nearly touched the ground. She came with Magnolia whose hair did touch the ground in giant mats. Her previous owners had her for 36 years, but were no longer able to care for her and Magnolia, Her companion, Magnolia, died in 2007.

If you look closely, you'll see that little Hagan's tongue is always hanging out!

In 2009, another great match was made for Hagan. Marigold, a jenny mule, arrived from Washington state. Hagan and she were very good buddies until Marigold's death.

Update

April 30, 2010

Part of rescue is the sadness that is encountered with our efforts.

It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that our little Hagan passed in her sleep sometime during the early hours of the morning. She ate dinner last night, and all was well.

Hagan was 42 yrs old.
