On October the 8th, 2006, Miracle Horse Rescue purchased six horses from an auction in Oregon. This was made possible by a group of wonderful individuals that call themselves the FOBs which stands for the Fans of Barbaro. The FOBs provided a list of six particular horses they were interested in rescuing, they also provided not only the funds for the purchase of these horses but the funds to care for them as well.
