Shiloh
A few weeks ago one of MHR's first rescues, Shiloh, crossed over the bridge. Shiloh (1984), was an Appaloosa mare with Moon Blindness. She had became blind from non treatment of an eye infection. Each horse at MHR is important in his or her own way, but Shiloh dying in her sleep has been very hard on us.
Each time a foal is born, our hearts swell up with joy and excitement, but each time a horse crosses over our hearts shrink in sorrow.
To honor Shiloh, or a horse that is embedded deeply in your own heart, MHR would like to present the "Heavenly Pony" one of the retired Trail of Painted Ponies.

Of his inspiration for his pony, the artist writes: "The nobility and spirit of the Horse is so high and sublime, it led me to take them to heavenly heights in the shape of billowing clouds."
Made of ceramic. Measures 6" high.
Tickets for this drawing are $10 for one or 2 for $15 and will be available starting today until July 17th. Proceeds will go to the alfalfa cube fund.
