New Life at Miracle Horse Rescue
all due to the
FANS of BARBARO
On April 12th, 2007 @ 3:35pm PST, Bobby's Lil Angel a little
filly was born in a safe and loving environment all because of the
FANS of BARBARO
In September of 2006, funds were raised by the Fans of
Barbaro for Miracle Horse Rescue to attend an auction and to
purchase horses the Fans of Barbaro had hand picked. MHR was
provided with this list and Rosie with tail tag number 29 with a
foal at her side and one on the way was one of the special horses
they wanted. Rosie arrived on November 22nd, 2006 along with five
other horses to Miracle Horse Rescue. They had a one month stay on
Oregon in order for MHR to schedule the return trip to transport
them home. Since the purchase of Rosie she has been receiving the
best of care and the end result is Bobby's Lil Angel.
Miracle Horse Rescue will be forever grateful to the FANS of
BARBARO for their kindness and generosity in making this new life
possible not only at Miracle Horse Rescue but for many other horse
rescue organizations throughout the US and Europe all striving in
their efforts to save and care for horses. The Fans of Barbaro are
a wonderful group of individuals who are working diligently together
in order to prevent the slaughtering of horses such as Rosie and her
baby for HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

JONAH
Jonah arrived at Miracle Horse
Rescue on 4/21/2007. Jonah was no longer wanted. He is a five year
old Quarter Horse with a disability. When Jonah was two years old
he had been tied to a hitching post and left. Something spooked him
and he broke two of the vertabra in his neck. Jonah received
medical treatment, and the end result is that Jonah cannot turn in
tight circles as he has limited mobility in his neck. He has had
sixty days of professional training since his accident.

On January 5th, 2007, at
7:15pm, two horses arrived from a neglect situation
20-22 y/o Black, Grade
Gelding, he had 11.5 inches of hoof, and is down 200-250 lbs. He is
a very sweet disposition thus far. Once he has reached his optimum
weight he will be available for adoption. He was recently named by
the F.O.B.'s, they took a vote and he is now "BEN".
9 y/o Brown and White
Tobiano Mare. She sustained an injury in October after cutting
herself on corrugated steel roofing. This wound was never treated.
She will be undergoing a surgical procedure on Thursday, the 11th of
January to remove the proud flesh that is continuing to rupture open
and to clean the entire wound out. She requires approximately
150lbs. She has also since been named by the F.O.B.'s, they took a
vote and she is now "LIL GRACE". Once she has reached her optimum
weight and her leg has healed completely she will be available for
adoption.

Clouds' Country Store is
under construction and will have various items available. All
proceeds from anything purchased at Clouds' Country Store will go to
help provide feed and any other required needs of the horses
