Hi There! My name is Rosie, I am a 10 year old Quarter Horse. I was picked up by Miracle Horse Rescue on September 9th, 2001. I came from a very good home, it's just due to some changes in my other families life and my feet that I could not remain with them.
I was living with Kevin and Pam Binns up on Mount Potisi. They own Sonet Stables which does trail rides throughout the mountains. Kevin had bought me as a gift for Pam, they did not know my feet were not in the best shape. That did not make a difference to Pam, she loved me just the same. You see though I am only ten years old, and I foundered sometime when I was younger. I am doing better though, it's just going to take some time and patience. My new farrier came and looked at me shortly after I arrived and said I wasn't that bad and with time we could correct the problem. Which brings me to Miracle Horse Rescue.
Pam said before she got too old or no longer with us her dream was to ride across the United States as our ancestors did. They are leaving March 1, 2002 traveling from our great state of Nevada to our nations captial Washington D.C. Pam however wanted to add more meaning to her ride, so guess what she is going to do??? She is going to ride for Miracle Horse Rescue. She believes that my new home needs to be recognized for all they do and that they need the support of the public. She said if it weren't for them, she would not know what would have happened to me. I can't make the trip because of my feet, but she knows that I am safe and will be loved and cared for by the people at Miracle Horse Rescue.
All of us commend Pam and Kevin Binns for the trek which they will be undertaking. We also, want to Thank them for believing in Miracle Horse Rescue and for wanting to support us in our efforts to help those horses in need.
